Hot tapping
It is a system for accessing the inside of an operating pipeline, using either a drill or a circular cutter. It is done for several reasons, including branch connections to the main line or to stop flow in a line for maintenance and repair purposes.
Tecpesa owns a wide range of tapping machines to operate 1” through 60“ for a maximum operating pressure of 80 bars and a maximum operating temperature of 300ºC.
